Lejonen were away against Masarna yesterday, in an attempt to score more points for the league table.
Lejonen have been considered underdogs a few times this season, however, they have surpassed expectations and find themselves in the middle of the league table right now.
This position was well defended yesterday, as they took an important away win against Masarna. Despite a long delay to get the meeting underway, due to rain, the team delivered and managed to get a comfortable win. Nicolai had a good night, scoring paid 9 points in four heats.
“Another awesome team performance from the underdogs in the Swedish league. Very important away win! The track was really good despite the amount of rain we had and also the lengthly track work they had to do before the meeting could start. I’m pretty pleased with my night and I felt good, but a few mistakes along the way. It was a little difficult to ride heat 8 and then the next one was not until heat 14. Solid night and good work from Palle yet again!”
Today Nicolai is back in Denmark, where Holsted are away against Slangerup. So it’s a meeting between number 1 and 2 in the league.
