Holsted welcomed Grindsted yesterday, and everything hoped for yet another home win for Holsted.
And the team delivered what most people came to see. A comfortable win was what Holsted had to give both fans and themselves. A complete team performance where everyone in the team scored points and made sure that Grindsted never stood a chance.
Holsted won by 56-31, and Nicolai scored 9 points to contribute to the win and make sure that Holsted are still in the mix for first place in the league, before the play-offs.
“Great team performance yet again by all riders and to win by 25 points just showed how strong we are. I didn’t have the best of nights again as I struggled for power, meaning I felt my bikes were flat and not pulling forwards as quickly as I wanted. We tried everything possible and it was better on the other bike in my last heat, but still not 100% satisfied. Thanks to my teammate Rasser for letting me try his bike too! Now we got two meetings in Germany, so it’s a new day and a new race!”
Nicolai will start out in the Auerhahnpokal i Teterow tonight and tomorrow in Güstrow for the Pfingstpokal.
