Holsted went to Fjelsted yesterday to try to add to their league points.
However, Fjelsted were as tough as expected to go up against. Holsted gave them a run for their money and most of the meeting the two teams were neck and neck.
It was not until the last three heats that Fjelsted gained a small advantage, and then they sealed their win in the very last heat with a 5-1 heat advantage. Nicolai scored 7+1 points from his six rides.
“It was a very tough away meeting, which we knew it would be. I felt good in the first three heats and then I struggled a fair bit. I have to take the positives with me and move on. My heat win was won quite easy, I just have to do that five times, not just once. It didn’t make it much easier with the track being how it was. I was far from a safe race track if you ask me. It is the same for everyone yes, but had it been in Poland, the meeting would not even have started.”
Nicolai enjoys a tight schedule these days, which means he will be in action tonight, Thursday again. This time in Sweden, where Lejonen are up against Vetlanda in an away meeting.
