Yesterday Holsted visited Slangerup, in a battle between 1 and 2 in the Danish league.
This already made the meeting exciting. To add to that, Slangerup had called upon Bartosz Zmarzlik to lead their team for this meeting. However, Holsted quickly led Slangerup know, that their efforts were to go to waste.
After the big break Holsted was in the lead by 10 points and just kept on defending this lead. They eventually ended up winning the meeting by 41-46, which also secured them a bonuspoint for the league standings, where they keep holding 1st position.
Nicolai did not let a car accident affect his performance, as he raced to paid 13 points to help Holsted win the meeting.
“Another win for the mighty tigers, which makes it 7 out of 8 this year. Track was great and created some good racing! After my first ride where I was very tense, we made one change and kept that for the rest of the night and made 5 out of 5 starts from there and on. Felt really good, even when you think about what happened the night before.”
As you can read on our Facebook page, Nicolai and his mechanic Palle, was involved in an accident. They hit a moose on the road in the middle of the night, driving from Avesta, Sweden, towards Denmark. Apart from a huge shock, they are both alright.
Nicolai will be racing again on Sunday, where Ostrow will visit Latvian based team Daugavpils.
