In Sweden today, Nicolai and Indianerna were away against Piraterna, who proved to be too strong.
Piraterna with Iversen, Hancock and Sayfutdinov proved too strong an opponent for Indianerna. They lost the meeting by 50-40. Nicolai endured a tough night only scoring 3 points.
“Not much to say other than I was in the wrong place at the wrong time in my last two heats after winning both starts. In my third heat I made the start, but made a mistake in turn three and four, which meant everyone passed me. In my last heat I made the start again, but my teammate put me in the fence coming out of turn 2, which resultet in another last place. I felt fast, but you don’t just pass Sayfutdinov and Hancock with one hand on your back. So I’m keeping my head high and focus on tomorrow’s Danish League meeting.”
Tomorrow Nicolai will be in action for his Danish club Esbjerg, when they go to Holsted where Nicolai have ridden many season. Hopefully he can put this experience into practice and help Esbjerg to an away win. Tapes are up at 18.30 local time.
