Poole welcomed Ipswich in another meeting of the Supporters Trophy tournament.
Poole got off to a bad start, with Ipswich taking the lead. Ipswich continued to keep Poole on a leash and actually holding on to their lead for most of the meeting.
Poole had to go all the way to heat 15, where they were behind by two points coming into heat 15. However, a 5-1 heat advantage secured Poole a two point home win in the end. Nicolai did not have the best meeting, scoring only 4+1 points.
“Again we came from being behind, this time a last heat decider turned into a two point win. My own performance wasn’t anything great! After a great win I had a crash, burned clutch and a tape exclusion, to just make a shitty night which left me frustrated and I let it get to my head. Only one that can turn a bad couple of meetings around is myself and learn from the mistakes I did, and what I didn’t do to correct them. I got four days off now which will be good. Time to recharge and start over again Tuesday!”
As Nicolai rounds off by saying, he is back on track Tuesday, when his Swedish team Lejonen have their second league meeting of the season.
