Ostrow visited Pila yesterday, in their 1st leg of the promotion/relegation play-off for the Polish 1. Liga.
And Ostrow looked to be ready for the task, as they put up a good fight against Pila, who have spend this season the 1. Liga in Poland.
The whole team took vital points throughout the meeting, and they ended up winning by 43-47. Nicolai were once again topscorer for the team with 12 points in five rides, including a superb last bend 3-point earning overtake in the very last heat.
“I don’t think anyone would have been brave enough to bet on us to win at Pila, but we proved that we are a really hood team when everyone is riding well. We just have to keep our head calm and focus on the return leg!”
“The track was very difficult in the end with a lot of hole, so you had to be clever while riding, but for me personally I think I showed a lot of people that I’m strong enough for the 1. Liga for sure.”
The return leg will be on Sunday the 7th, at home in Ostrow.
Today, Poole and Nicolai are seeking a play-off final in the British Premiership.
