PIRATES BEATEN AT HOME

Poole welcomed Wolverhampton at home on Thursday night.

Poole aimed for a secure home win to remain in the run for top spot in the league. However, it soon became clear that Wolves were there to secure points as well.

Poole struggled, especially at the reserve spots, whereas the Wolves reserves had a really good night. This meant that Poole had to work very hard, but it was difficult. Wolves just was the better team on the night. They ended up winning against Poole by 41-49. Nicolai had a good night with 15 points.

“I don’t think anybody expected us to loose at home to Wolverhampton. For me it was a big surprise, as well as frustrating as it makes the job harder going into the last three meetings. Anyway, it is what it is! You win as a team and you loose as a team. I had a really good night with the only mistakes happening while leading heat 15, hitting a big hole where I lost control. I was super angry about doing that as it would have been nice to finish off a good night with a win. Main thing was my starts were good, I had good speed and felt good.”

Next up for Nicolai i today, where he and Ostrow are up against Rybnik in the first leg of the finale of the NICE 1. Liga.
