Poole had the lead in the last heats of the meeting, but Leicester fought back.
It was so close for Poole, who were leading by four points, after having been a few points behind. But Leicester fought back with a 5-1 heat win in the very last heat, to claim a draw.
Nicolai had some issues in the beginning of the meeting, but clawed his way back and ended up scoring 12+1 points.
“I had clutch problems in my first two rides which was a bit annoying. Same issues I’ve had in Denmark the other week. Unfortunately I pulled up in my fourth heat as I felt something was loose on the bike, but we couldn’t find the problem. It ended up being some vital points! But felt good today. We used the same bike I qualified on in Croatia so we know it’s working here as well now. Long trip to Daugavpils now!”
Nicolai is back in action today, as Krakow head all the way to Latvia, to Daugavpils to try and steal some vital points for the league standings.
