Poole welcomed Belle Vue at home on Thursday night and hoped to continue a good run.
Poole looked like they were going to continue their good run of form lately as they got into the lead early on. However, midway through the meeting, Nico Covatti and and Richie Worrall were part of a crash, which saw them both leave the meeting injured.
This left Poole with a headache for the rest of the meeting. Belle Vue slowly clawed their way back into the meeting. However, Poole just managed to defend a narrow two point lead as the meeting was cut short due to a curfew. Poole won 37-35. Nicolai scored paid 7 points.
“A very important win for the which moves us up to 3rd, only three points from the top. Unfortunately we lost Richie and Nico in a nasty crash, which is a massive blow to the team. Not just losing them, but also to find good replacements. I had a so-and-so night, few issues with getting out of the starts, but it was what it was. I got my mechanic Neil working for his money and he did a great job!”
Tomorrow Poole will travel to Manchester, to visit Belle Vue this time. Hopefully replacements are in place and the team can do another good job.
