With half a team, Poole yet again showed their strength, beating Kings Lynn at home.
They were already without Richie Worrall and Nico Covatti before the meeting, but half way through the meeting they also lost Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen due to illness. So it was more than a half a battle!
The Pirates thought hard and managed to stay infront most of the meeting, which ended with a 8 point win 49-41 against the stars. Nicolai had one of his best meetings this year at Poole, scoring paid 13 points from his 5 rides. The track was better yet again after there have been a lot of work done to the Poole surface over the last couple of weeks.
The win now means Poole is top of the league, on 27 points alongside Ipswich.
“Again we showed everyone what a team we are and delivered under pressure. We had Ricky Wells and Sam Masters in as guests and they did an awesome job for us. Personally I feel more and more like my old self, if you can call it that. I feel relaxed and confident on the bike which is great and I’m really enjoying my riding lately. Neil, my mechanic worked for his money, but yet again did an awesome job when we had bike issues all of a sudden.”
Now Poole look ahead to next week where two very tough away meetings is coming up with Kings Lynn away Monday and Ipswich away Thursday.
